$10,000 Goal
This year, we are thrilled to have a $5,000 matching gift challenge from Avi Hahn & Renee Frith! The first $5,000 raised through our Give for Good platform will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to their generous support! We know we can reach this goal through generous donors like you!
“I love coming to the pantry to shop because you have such a variety of options. I can try different foods that I otherwise wouldn't be able to afford."
“They didn’t just treat me like someone they were helping; they talked to me like a friend. Finding JFCS has been one of the most important things since coming to the U.S. They’ve helped me focus on my goals and dreams.”
Gifts made to JFCS during the 2026 #GiveForGoodLou campaign will fuel vital programs that touch the lives of thousands of individuals and families across all five pillars of JFCS services (Clinical Services; Family Stability; Career & Economic Opportunities; Immigrant & Refugee Services; Klein Older Adults services).
The number 18 holds significant meaning in Judaism, primarily symbolizing life. This is derived from the Hebrew word for life, "chai" (חי), which has a numerical value of 18. Your gift is life-changing for JFCS clients and provides critical programming for our neighbors.
Gifts to JFCS this year are in increments of 18 as a symbol of the life you are providing by your generosity. You will make a direct impact on individuals in Louisville in the following ways:
By giving to JFCS during Give for Good Louisville, you are helping us strengthen our ability to meet these growing needs and expand opportunities for people to thrive. An example is our new Immigrant and Refugee Services, where we help newcomers not only secure meaningful employment but also provide a match saving program to help save for a home, car, business, or education ensures that they can set roots and build futures in Louisville. There’s also our Career & Economic Opportunities services; recently, JFCS’s Andrea Brown was named one of the Top 15 Career Coaches in Louisville. And there’s our Sonny & Janet Meyer Food Pantry which is working hard to meet a rising demand from more people in our community struggling with food insecurity.
Support JFCS during Give for Good Louisville. We value your partnership!
Together, we will work towards the JFCS vision that all live with DIGNITY and PURPOSE!
