Kentucky’s Stories. The World’s Stage
Since 2012, Kentucky to the World has been telling the stories of Kentuckians doing remarkable work, in classrooms, boardrooms, labs, and studios, here at home and everywhere their careers have taken them. We tell those stories loud: live events, television specials, programs in schools, and more.
Every story pushes back on old ideas about what Kentucky is and makes a simple case, that in plenty of fields, Kentucky isn't catching up to the rest of the world. It's already ahead of it. That case changes things. A kid in Hazard who sees someone from home doing extraordinary work starts to believe it's possible for them too. A student who meets a leader who grew up down the road starts reaching further than they might have otherwise. And when the rest of the world sees what Kentucky produces, it shows up in where people choose to invest, where talent chooses to move, where a company chooses to build.
Kentucky's people are already world-class. Our job is making sure the world knows it. Your gift goes straight into that work that is reaching students, building pride in towns across the Commonwealth, and putting Kentucky's name where it belongs.

- Hosted 25+ live events with more than 7,500 attendees.
- Served more than 2,000 students from 65+ schools and organizations, most from underserved areas.
- Produced 3,000 decks of KTW Illustrated Playing Cards.
- Developed 23+ unique programs airing or streaming on KET.
- Created hundreds of stories engaged millions of times across broadcast, digital, and community partner spaces
A contribution of:
$100 helps us share our storytelling with the world through our unique documentary-style video content that educates, excites, engages and empowers audiences young and old through our multimedia platforms.
$250 provides 10 local students entry into one of our many student programs, offering first hand access to individuals that inspire locally and inform globally.
$500 increases our impact in area high schools through our Student Program.
$1,000 powers our reach across the state through KET and beyond, continuing to highlight Kentucky’s intellectual and cultural accomplishments on the world stage.

*We are also proud to have served as the fiscal agent and premiere co-host for the documentary film, A Pathway Forward. Last October, this film offered a deep dive into the Central High School Law and Government Magnet Program in West Louisville and their work with U of L Law School to implement the national Street Law program.
Last October, we featured Dr. Ajmal Zemmar, renowned neuroscientist, for Echoes of Life: Inside the Dying Brain, exploring new scientific frontiers in understanding the dying brain, in conversation with science writer Jeni Laidman. Both the Student Program and our main program were held at at the Kentucky Science Center. His presence in the Commonwealth and his commitment to inspiring young minds reflect a larger narrative of innovation, opportunity, and intellectual leadership emerging across our state. .
Through programs like this, Kentucky to the World proudly advances the narrative of a Kentucky that leads, not just in spirit and culture, but in science, imagination, and global relevance.
