Louisville Academy of Music

At the Louisville Academy of Music (LAM), we believe music belongs to everyone. For over 70 years, we've welcomed students of all ages and levels (over 1,000 annually!) offering lessons, group classes, and enriching educational opportunities that spark creativity, build confidence, and develop lifelong skills and relationships.

What sets LAM apart is our community, both within our school and across greater Louisville, where we now reach families in 50+ zip codes. Our programs foster lasting connections between students, families, teachers, and community collaborators: creating a unique learning environment that embraces growth over perfection.

Thanks to supporters like you, we are building pathways and access to high-quality music education. Today, 37% of our students receive no- or low-cost programming. Our scholarship program, which has grown from $12,000 in 2020 to more than $100,000 today, supports 100+ students in our halls and through our offsite lesson programs, alleviating transportation costs for families in need.
