For over 100 years, the League of Women Voters-Louisville (LWVL) has been defending democracy by empowering voters.

The LWVL,is a non-profit, nonpartisan political organization. We help MAKE DEMOCRACY WORK. As a nonpartisan organization, the League takes action on issues but does not support or oppose candidates or parties. The LWVL supports diversity, equity, and inclusion in membership and programming. Membership is open to all individuals interested in our work.

Our current focus is on Empowering Voters and Voter Registration.

Empowering Voters through voter information – 411, information on current government policies and issues, free community forums, promoting voter turnout and collaborating with other agencies. 

Voter Registration continues at high schools, community tabling events and public libraries.

The League of Women Voters–Louisville is a non-profit, nonpartisan public policy organization and a local chapter of the League of Women Voters of the United States. It is one of six League chapters serving communities across Kentucky.

The League does not support or oppose political candidates or parties. Instead, it is dedicated to empowering voters and encouraging informed participation in the democratic process.
