A Safe Place for Women in Crisis Facing an Unexpected Pregnancy

Lifehouse Maternity Home is a safe home where women in crisis can find hope and healing. Lifehouse addresses the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of pregnant and parenting women by transforming their lives through the healing touch of Christ. Lifehouse is not a shelter. We are so much more. We are a pathway for women to see and define goals for themselves and their children. 

Lifehouse provides information and support needed to heal and begin moving forward so that these women can achieve her life goals. Our Lifepath program allows women to stay up to 4 years as they progress through the three stages: Stage 1 involves preparing for the baby, Stage 2 focuses on preparing for the future, Stage 3 is a transition and after-care program. 

Together, we are changing lives—one mother, one baby, and one future at a time.

Our goal is to help end the cycle of abuse, neglect, generational poverty, and social services dependency of pregnant and parenting women.

Why are we participating today? Over 80 daycares have recently closed in the Louisville area. Our mom's struggle to find decent daycare for their children and when they do, they often have to ride on a public bus over an hour to get to the daycare and then on to school with their children in strollers. Then they do it all again at the end of the day. This why we are launching a new family support program called BrightLife. Please help us fund this program. Learn more in the video below.

Who We Are

Many of the women who come to us have endured significant hardships, such as abuse, addiction, homelessness, human trafficking, or mental health struggles. At Lifehouse, they find a safe haven where they can heal, grow, and prepare for a future filled with love and hope for themselves and their child (either through parenting or adoption).

The Lifehouse Maternity Home's mission is to provide for the spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of pregnant and /or parenting women and their children - both born and unborn - in a Christ-centered home environment. We offer a three-part program of planning and preparing for the baby, planning and preparing for the future, transition, and aftercare. The priority in each step of our program is the positive growth of each program participant.

Lifehouse Maternity Home opened its doors in 1997 as a 501 (c)3 voluntary, residential program for women in crisis facing an unexpected pregnancy. We rely on the generosity of our supporters to care for vulnerable women and babies, helping them to transform their lives and families.
