Louisville Country Dancers

Louisville Country Dancers is an inter-generational community built around the enjoyment of English and American dance and music, primarily contra dance. We host contra dances every Monday night and on the third Saturday of each month. No experience or partner is required. Each night, we hold a beginner lesson at 7:30 at no extra cost and welcome dancers of all skill levels and backgrounds. Contra is easy to learn. There is no footwork, and the evening is led by a caller who teaches each dance.

We have live music at every dance we hold. Our community open volunteer band The Monday Night All-Stars takes the stage most nights. On Saturdays, we feature bands and callers from throughout the region.
