Louisville Downtown Partnership

A nonprofit organization

Whether you live, work, or visit, we make Downtown Louisville a place you can call home.

The Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to improve Louisville's Downtown by promoting the redevelopment, vitality, and economic growth of the Greater Downtown area through creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment.

Downtown Louisville serves as the economic engine and cultural center for entire region. Within a day’s drive of two-thirds of the U.S. population, we’re strategically positioned for business, tourism, and development. As hometown to Muhammad Ali, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jack Harlow, we’re one of only a dozen U.S. cities with all five major performing arts groups, the second largest collection of cast iron facades in America, and the very unique historic Whiskey Row, a walkable urban experience where you can visit a dozen distillery and tasting experiences, one just 5 minutes away from the next.

  • At less than 1% of Louisville’s total land mass, Downtown outpunches its weight:
  • 66,000+ workers from more than 100 ZIP codes
  • 10,000+ residents calling Downtown home
  • 36.5 million annual visits• $2.3 billion of investment underway or announced
  • $14.3 billion in gross domestic product
