Louisville Ballet's mission is to inspire, engage, and educate the community through moving art.
We are the fifth oldest continuously operating ballet company in the country – a remarkable achievement that speaks directly to the ongoing, enthusiastic investment in our success by a community of patrons near and far.
We are so fortunate that you have been with us as we reached this milestone.
What began as a spark in 1952 has continued to grow and burn brighter. Starting as a small, civic ballet and steadily growing into a nationally respected company, Louisville Ballet has been transformative to this community’s cultural identity. During the 2024-2025 season we served over almost 71,000 individuals! You are very much a part of that success.
Louisville Ballet is committed to serving our community and providing access to the art of ballet. Through our myriad of Community Engagement programs and initiatives, such as in-school residencies, performance assemblies, student matinees, Ballet Bound and more, we share the artistry of ballet with over 30,000 people in our community on an annual basis.
The Louisville Ballet School, an integral part of Louisville Ballet, has been a trusted leader in dance education for 50 years. We nurture an appreciation for tradition and inspire a sense of innovation and shared experience. Last season over 1,255 students achieved their personal best as they move toward the future as artists, engaged citizens, audience members and responsible healthy human beings.
We ask you to continue to support this work, this beauty, and our commitment to making stunning art that moves Louisville forward for generations to come.
Experience beloved traditions, thrilling world premieres, and inspiring stories of love, hope, and magic in our 2024-2025 season, where the power of connection is center stage. Honoring our history and celebrating a bright future, our 73rd season represents the broad spectrum of what ballet can be: Explosive. Transformative. Surprising. Healing.
We invite you to join us in our studios and in the theater as we boldly move forward together.
The 2025-2026 Season includes:
Dracula, The Brown-Forman Nutcracker with choreography by Val Caniparoli, Swan Lake and Choreographers' Showcase.
