Miles for Merry Miracles

Miles for Merry Miracles (M4MM) is a youth-led, youth-serving non-profit organization based in Southern Indiana. We partner with other youth serving organizations like Whitney's Wings,  Salvation Army, Ky Refugee Ministries, Clark Systems of Care, Family Place, My Club, etc  in our community to serve potentially at-risk youth, or we create our own unique projects to address issues such as mental wellness, vaping, poverty, healthy food access,  civic engagement, quality education for all, just to name a few. 

In our 18th year of serving our community, our goal is to raise $18000 on Louisville's Biggest Day of Giving, September 18th from 12 am til 11:59 pm. Will you help us meet that goal?

Why we do what we do?

Why do some people grow up with ease, while others struggle? Why do some youth get involved in dangerous activities, while others spend their time contributing to their communities in positive ways? This has a lot to do with developmental assets which are building blocks for successful growth and development for young people. Young people need organizations like Miles for Merry Miracles who have volunteer projects that provide opportunities to contribute to their communities. They need enriching and constructive opportunities for growth. Youth need skills and competencies that equip them to make positive choices, build healthy relationships, and succeed in life. Young people need to develop a strong sense of their own power, purpose, worth, and promise. Miles for Merry Miracles helps develop many assets among the youth that lead and volunteer with us. These assets reduce high risk behaviors. The more assets young people have, the less likely they are to get involved in alcohol, violence, skipping school, and other high-risk behaviors.

This year there are even more reasons to give to Southern Indiana nonprofits.  Caesars Foundation of Floyd County is offering a  proportionate match to organizations based in Floyd County. Organizations based in Floyc County are eligible to receive a proportionate share of the these match pools based on their overall amount of dollars raised, excluding other bonus or prizes they may receive. (e.g. 5% of the funds raised in S. Indiana = 5% of the corresponding proportionate match
