St. George's Scholar Institute gives young people an embrace that assures them they are safe and accepted just as they are. It is a place where education is poured in from every direction. Young people and their families are empowered through academic support, mentoring, artistic entrepreneurship, and good ole fashion love!

Who We Are

St. George’s is a thriving resource for the youth of West Louisville, providing a welcoming and educational environment for middle and high school students. St. George’s Scholar Institute, located inside of the California Community Center, resides in the heart of West Louisville and was established in 1964. We offer after-school and summer programs that prepare students for college, teach leadership skills, and explore a variety of career training options. We also have launched our new Urban Art Institute which is an entrepreneurship incubator.

How You Can Help

$25 - Will provide snacks for a Scholar for a month.

$50 - Will provide for a tutoring session for a Scholar.

$100 - Will provide for 4 field trips for a Scholar.

$250 - Will provide for a scholarship for a Scholar to the Reading Rockets Summer Program.

$600 - Will provide for one Scholar to embark on a College Tour.
