The Louisville Free Public Library Foundation

A nonprofit organization

A STRONGER LIBRARY FOR A STRONGER LOUISVILLE.

The Library Foundation believes in the power of a strong library to change a life, a neighborhood, a city. Since our founding in 1980, thousands of library-loving neighbors have joined hands across the city to help raise over $40 million dollars in support of the Louisville Free Public Library (LFPL).

But our work is not done.

As a critical part of Louisville's social infrastructure, LFPL works to address some of the city's most challenging issues. They do this despite public funding deficits that leave our public library $10 million behind the national average for cities our size. This is why the Library Foundation is also committed to leading advocacy efforts to secure adequate public dollars to sustain and expand our library system.

Please join us as we build a stronger library for a stronger Louisville.
