The Maestros Inc.

We are the Maestros — a 100% volunteer-led and operated 501c(3) nonprofit supporting the performing and visual arts magnet programs of Western Middle School for the Arts, a JCPS school located in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

Your contribution helps the Maestros enrich the arts experience of WMSA students through fundraising, events, and community support. In recent years, the Maestros:

• Funded weekly guest instructors for Band and Orchestra
• Provided a new professional light system for the new Black Box theatre, thanks to grant funds
• Purchased needed equipment for Piano/Digital Music
• Restocked Visual Arts supplies, purchased shelves and funded a program field trip
• Purchased makeup for Theatre
• Purchased a new piano for Choir
•  Funded accompanists for Choir performances
• Funded a guest choreographer for Dance
• Financed SpongeBob the Musical and the spring play Puffs (licensing, lighting, sound, costumes, props, ticketing, marketing, production support, and organizing volunteers for front of house)
• Sponsored a school-wide Variety Show 
• Your contribution directly supports these arts magnet programs, as well as the on-going improvements to Western Middle's campus.

  -Your $15 donation will purchase a roll of marley floor tape
  -Your $50 donation will buy 2 Elitebook protective covers
  -Your $160 donation will cover one classroom piano tuning
  -Your $250 donation will hire a photographer for the Musical performance
  -Your $400 donation will provide transportation for one field trip
  -Your $1000 donation will bring in a violin masterclass instructor
