Who We Are

At West End School (WES), we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. West End School is a tuition-free, independent school serving Pre-K–8 students in West Louisville. We prepare scholars for success through rigorous academics and character development, creating a safe, stable, and supportive environment where high expectations and individualized support empower every child to reach their full potential.

Founded in 2005 with just three middle school students, WES has grown into a thriving school community serving more than 240 students in 2026. In August 2025, WES proudly opened our doors to girls, beginning with Pre-K through 2nd grade and expanding our commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities for girls in West Louisville. WES also welcomes 36 middle schoolers that Board at the school Monday-Thursday.  We believe these wrap around services benefit the entire family and allow for growth and exposure to life skills. 

As an ISACS-accredited school, WES upholds the highest standards of education, ensuring excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Through rigorous academics, individualized instruction, character development, and leadership opportunities, we equip scholars with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed.
