Who We Are

West End School (WES) is a tuition-free, independent, school in West Louisville focused on providing a quality education to boys from low-income households in grades Pre-K to 8. WES was founded on the belief that any student can thrive in a safe and stable environment imbued with clear values, high expectations and strong support.

WES began in 2005 with 3 middle school students. Since then, WES has grown to serve 150 students on our 5 acre campus in the Chickasaw neighborhood. WES assists students in reaching their full potential through academically rigorous programs, highly individualized instruction, emotional and developmental support for students and parents, and an environment that encourages respect and responsibility.
