The Muhammad Ali Center's mission and vision is to foster respect and mobilize Muhammad's legacy toward a more just and compassionate world, inspiring all people to discover their greatness. This Give for Good Louisville, join us in showing your support to realize this mission.
By donating to the Ali Center during Give for Good Louisville, you can help us enhance our educational programs and strengthen our community outreach. Some of our current work supported by your donation includes:
The Muhammad Ali Center Council of Students (MACCS) is a diverse group of Louisville high school students committed to improving themselves and their communities through the practice of Muhammad Ali’s Six Core Principles: Confidence, Conviction, Dedication, Giving, Respect, and Spirituality. Students meet twice monthly to learn about civics, social justice, and methods of nonviolent social change. While the program focuses on leadership development, the gains these students show in academic performance, socio-emotional well-being, and civic-mindedness are nothing short of transformative.
The Daughters of Greatness series honors women who are changemakers in the arenas of social philanthropy, activism, and pursuits of justice. These women embody Muhammad’s core values as they actively work to realize the Center’s vision for a more just and compassionate world where all of us—whatever our race, religion, or background—can achieve the fullest measure of our greatness.
Our Youth Rights Conference, designed to help high school students network, learn about different social issues in our world, and position them to act and effect change.
Our Collections & Archive preservation manages the records of Muhammad Ali’s life and career as an athlete and humanitarian. Collections items are used to implement the Center’s mission as an educational and advocacy organization.
Some of the ways your donation makes an impact:
• A donation of $150 would cover the cost of preservation of a film reel featuring historical Muhammad Ali footage
• A donation of $500 would fund a fully guided field trip for a class of 50 students to the Muhammad Ali Center
• A $2,000 donation covers the cost of a MACCS student curriculum and activities for an entire year
Guided by Muhammad Ali's Six Core Principles, the Muhammad Ali Center features an interactive museum, educational programming, and special events to inspire youth and adults to pursue greatness in their own lives, communities and countries.
Our museum captures the inspiration derived from the story of Muhammad Ali’s incredible life and the principles that fueled his journey.
Our programming expands locally, nationally, and internationally to promote respect, hope, and understanding. The Center’s primary focus areas are education, compassion, and global citizenship.
The Muhammad Ali Center, a 501(c) 3 corporation, was co-founded by Muhammad Ali and his wife Lonnie in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
