Abracadabra Alakazam!  We have some magical news - with your help our beloved WLWC just purchased our 3rd organization-owned property!  This space will help us continue to grow the magic of community, and you can be a part of it. 

The West Louisville Women's Collaborative emerged from the efforts of a dedicated group of women, responding to the need for inventive solutions to address vacant properties. Our PEACE LABYRINTH, lined with more than 450 bricks painted with uplifting messages by our neighbors, is accessible from dawn till dusk. Our mission to create and sustain artistic, peaceful spaces, includes hosting OPEN STUDIO and LABYRINTH LOVE on the last Saturday of the month from March to September within ELA (Energy Light Art) HOUSE. This space serves as a haven for neighbors offering a free and inclusive gathering place. Within its walls, the spirit of connection and creativity comes to life, enveloping all who enter with a sense of belonging. Our peaceful, artistic spaces are not just places to be, they are places where people can thrive. 

This year your donation will help us in 3 ways:

Stocking the ELAhouse Art Supply Nook:

WLWC believes everyone is an artist and the provision of these complimentary supplies serve as a catalyst for our neighbors to explore and cultivate their creative talents. In 2023, over $2000 worth of art materials have ignited a wave of inspiration and artistic expression throughout the West End.

Preserving the Peace Labyrinth:

As we celebrate a decade since the Labyrinth's inception, we must replace over 450 pavers lining its walkways to ensure its continued impact. In 2024, we're committed to enhancing the Peace Labyrinth's accessibility by upgrading its walking path so it remains a welcoming space for all.

Sustaining our Operating Budget:

Embodying a commitment to radical hospitality, our operating budget sustains ELAhouse as an invaluable community hub. Offered as a welcoming and cost free space to over 40 different groups in 2023, ELAhouse in Chickasaw's premiere facility for gatherings and celebrations.
