The Woodbine Chamber, at the former Chapel of St. Philip Neri, is a cultural venue in Old Louisville dedicated to enriching urban life through music, connection, and celebration. Since 1997, we’ve offered pay-what-you-can programs for our guests, supporting both emerging and established artists with care and attention. The Chamber is committed to being an international hub for creative exploration. Within our unique space, we empower Louisville's creative community through inclusivity, adaptability, and collaboration.
HOW WAS YOUR 2025?
2025 was the best year we've had yet with expanded programming offerings thanks to tons of change and new energy we've invited by revitalizing our board of directors and expanding our artist residency program.
So far in 2025 we have achieved with:
- we supported 5 artist residencies
- we had an estimated over 2000 visits to our space
- we adopted a new name that we felt more clearly communicated our work, commitment, and shared vision
- we produced more shows than ever , including guests like Geologist of Animal Collective, Days N Daze, and Mike Elsherif
- we hosted partners including Louisville Folk School, UofL, KYCad, Three Witches Shakespeare, Metro District 6 Advisory Council, Wandering Treehouse, Peace Dove and more
- we released a free CD compilation of live recordings from the Woodbine Chamber
- we hosted 2 and organized 1 fundraiser for humanitarian relief in Gaza
- added structural supports to the bell tower
- we received support by adding a new Vice President Emily Ravenscraft, a new Treasurer Christina Welsh, and new board members Crystal Bryson-Obrer, Gabe Stewart, Leah Raidt, and Nathanielle Hendrickson
- BIGGEST NEWS of all, we created monumental progress toward receiving ownership of our two buildings from our parent organization, Vernon Robertson Urban Charities, Inc.
That is certainly a lot to celebrate so donate today! Thank you for supporting Louisville community.
