Banjo Players Unite!

Calling all banjo players!

If playing music has brought some joy into your life, here’s a chance to pass a little of that along.

Students in our Sounds of Kentucky After-School String Band are learning fiddle, mandolin, guitar and banjo, building musical skills, learning to play with others, and discovering their own place in Kentucky’s musical traditions.

Louisville Folk School provides instruments for every student in the program, so kids can participate regardless of whether their family can afford an instrument of their own.

Drop a $10 bill in the Banjo bucket! Every gift adds up, and $250 puts a new instrument directly into a student’s hands.

Whether you give $10, $25, $50, or fund an entire instrument, your gift helps us give more young people the chance to experience the joy of making music together.
