My name is Travis Haynes, and I'm passionate about supporting Cedar Lake Lodge. I've witnessed firsthand the transformative impact their services have on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Unfortunately, the demand for their programs far exceeds their capacity.
My brother, Jeffery, spent over two decades waiting for a place at Cedar Lake. While my family was fortunate enough to provide him with the necessary care, I know countless others aren't so lucky. That's why I'm committed to raising funds to expand Cedar Lake's reach and ensure that every person in Kentucky has access to the support they deserve.
Your donation will make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. Please join me in supporting Cedar Lake Lodge today.
More about Cedar Lake:
For 55 years, Cedar Lake has provided compassionate, capable care to some of society's most vulnerable citizens - adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cedar Lake Lodge was established in 1970 by parents of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who asked the question, "What will happen to our children when we are gone?" They wanted to provide a home for their children after they became unable to care for them.
Cedar Lake's mission is to offer highly compassionate, capable care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they may experience a life of abundant possibilities.
Your donation can help Cedar Lake sustain its commitment to showing unconditional love to those in its care. With your support, alongside a long list of other like-minded and loyal donors, Cedar Lake can continue to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
Your gifts are used to establish, support, and expand the programs of Cedar Lake, including residential options, housing, and specialized support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Cedar Lake is the region's largest private nonprofit care provider offering the broadest array of housing options and support services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Kentucky. Additionally, Cedar Lake Lodge is unique because it is the only private, nonprofit Intermediate Care Facility for those in the Metro Louisville area. Cedar Lake is also the only provider who can support people within our system throughout their life expectancy, our commitment to a "continuum of care." We provide vital services to those with profound intellectual disabilities who are medically fragile and those with mild to moderate disabilities.
Collectively, Cedar Lake operations employ nearly 500 staff members and have an annual operating budget of over $35 million, providing supports to more than 250 people annually with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cedar Lake serves individuals in Jefferson, Oldham, and Henry counties.
