$1,000 goal

As the Senior Manager of Communications and Development at the Muhammad Ali Center, I get the chance to see the impact of the work the Ali Center has on people all over the world every single day. Muhammad Ali was a larger than life individual, and I hear so many stories from wonderful people sharing their personal experience with Ali or how his core principles have guided them within their own lives.

The Ali Center is proud to continue the work Muhammad believed in, and we have big goals ahead to help our community and the world find their greatness within.

I'm excited to raise funds for the Muhammad Ali Center this Give for Good Louisville to help the Center achieve great things ahead of our 20th Anniversary.

My goal is to raise $1,000 of the Ali Center's total fundraising goal of $150,000.

By donating to the Ali Center this Give for Good, you can help us enhance our youth programs and strengthen our community outreach. Some of our current work supported by your donor dollars includes:

  • The Muhammad Ali Center Council of Students (MACCS) is a diverse group of Louisville high school students committed to improving themselves and their communities through the practice of Muhammad Ali’s Six Core Principles: Confidence, Conviction, Dedication, Giving, Respect, and Spirituality. Students meet twice monthly to learn about civics, social justice, and methods of nonviolent social change. While the program focuses on leadership development, the gains these students show in academic performance, socio-emotional well-being, and civic-mindedness are nothing short of transformative.
  • The Daughters of Greatness series honors women who are changemakers in the arenas of social philanthropy, activism, and pursuits of justice. These women embody Muhammad’s core values as they actively work to realize the Center’s vision for a more just and compassionate world where all of us—whatever our race, religion, or background—can achieve the fullest measure of our greatness.
  • Our Youth Rights Conference, designed to help high school students network, learn about different social issues in our world, and position them to act and effect change.
  • Our Collections & Archive preservation manages the records of Muhammad Ali’s life and career as an athlete and humanitarian. Collections items are used to implement the Center’s mission as an educational and advocacy organization.

Join us this Give for Good to help our community and beyond find greatness within. Together we can shake up the world.

The Muhammad Ali Center, a 501(c) 3 corporation, was co-founded by Muhammad Ali and his wife Lonnie in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Guided by Muhammad Ali's six core principles, the Muhammad Ali Center features an interactive museum, educational programming, and special events to inspire young adults and adults to pursue greatness in their own lives, communities and countries. The Center's museum captures the inspiration derived from the story of Muhammad Ali’s incredible life and the principles that fueled his journey. Our programming expands locally, nationally, and internationally around the globe to promote respect, hope, and understanding. The Center’s primary focus areas are education, gender equity, and global citizenship.
