7K for 7 Years to Support LPM

Why are we doing this:

At Louisville Silent Disco, everything we do is about bringing people together through music. For our 7th anniversary, we wanted to celebrate not just our own journey, but the role music plays in building community in Louisville. That’s why we’re raising money for Louisville Public Media.

LPM and specifically WFPK has been the city’s soundtrack for decades—introducing us to new artists, championing local talent, and keeping independent music alive on the airwaves. Just like a silent disco gives everyone the chance to choose their own channel, LPM offers a variety of voices and genres that reflect the diversity of our city.

Because of recent funding cuts, LPM is facing challenges to continue that work. By dancing together, we can help ensure the music (and the storytelling) never stops. Our goal is to raise $7,000 for 7 years, celebrating the beats that bring us together while supporting the station that keeps Louisville listening and ensures that more people in our community are seen, heard, and represented.

SHAMELESS PLUG - on Sept. 26 from 7-11 we are having a 7 Year Anniversary Silent Disco at Paristown Hall in their green space. This will be a silent disco for all ages and will feature music from DJ SpringBreak, DJ Quick Nick and special guest WFPK DJs Coop Le Modern and Matt Anthony. It's a free event with a suggested donation of $10. All the money will go to LPM. 

DONATION TEIRS:

$10	The suggested donation as $10 is usually the price of entry to any LSD silent disco.
$150	Free 25 Headphone Rental (does not include a DJ)
$200	Free entry to Silent Disco for a year
$250	DJ for 1 hour at a public event
$500	Free entry to Silent Disco for LIFE
