I began my journey as a student at Yoga East when I first moved to Louisville in 2000.  I had a one-month old baby and a 4 year old son, and whenever I could find a break, I was very fortunate to find a nearby yoga studio, Yoga East.  I was introduced to Ashtanga yoga which I loved.  During the very busy years that followed, I would come and go at Yoga East whenever time would allow.  Fitness was always a passion but I kept being drawn to yoga.  

Fast forward to 2017, my kids were older, I retired from my full-time professional career and decided to pursue my yoga teaching certification at Yoga East.  I began teaching just one class per week in 2018. Since then, yoga has become my new “full-time job” as I'm now teaching  8-10 classes per week (mostly Beginner, Gentle and Chair) allowing me to help to bring the benefits of yoga to the broader Louisville community – the mission of Yoga East.  I continue to attend teacher trainings and workshops as often as possible at Yoga East, and now serve as a proud Board Member.  

We are so incredibly lucky to have this tradtional yoga studio here in Louisville. Please help me in enabling Yoga East to continue its worthy mission of making the benefits of yoga available to everyone regardless of financial circumstances.
