KJ and friends for Wellspring

Opening its first program in 1982, Wellspring was the first organization in Kentucky to focus on supportive housing and remains the only local agency with a primary focus on housing and intensive support for adults with serious mental illness. Wellspring programs are available to adults of any socioeconomic capacity; however, most people enter Wellspring after experiencing homelessness.  

Wellspring also operates the region’s only adult psychiatric crisis stabilization units (CSUs), which help reduce hospitalizations and alleviate client symptoms for hundreds of adults in acute psychiatric crisis every year. This year, Wellspring celebrates 30 years of providing this unique service in the Louisville region.

Through these and a wide array of other programs, Wellspring will help more than 1,600 adults this year through housing, hope and behavioral health services.
