CAL Murray

The Center for Accessible Living opened its Murray satellite office in 1994 to better serve people with disabilities throughout Kentucky’s Purchase region. The office grew from CAL’s earlier work placing Peer Support Specialists in more rural areas of the state, helping people stay connected to resources, information, and support.

Today, CAL Murray continues that work by helping people with disabilities live more independently and stay connected to their communities.

Services include:

• Advocacy
• Independent Living Skills Training
• Information and Referral
• Peer Support
• Transition Services and Independence University
• ADA assistance and disability education
• Equipment loans
• Ramp assistance for eligible Calloway County residents

Through a partnership with the Calloway County Salvation Army, CAL Murray also helps provide ramps for low-income residents with mobility disabilities. Funding from the annual Red Kettle Drive helps make these projects possible, along with support from community volunteers. 

As part of the Center for Accessible Living, CAL Murray is rooted in the belief that people with disabilities should have the choice, resources, and support needed to direct their own lives.
