Today is Give For Good Louisville, and I want to invite you to support a cause that is deeply personal to me: Educational Justice. As board chair, I have the privilege of seeing firsthand the impact this organization has on our community. Our mission is simple but powerful, we are closing the achievement gap by offering free access to tutoring for students who need it most.
There has been plenty of debate recently about how well JCPS is performing. In my view, JCPS does a good job within the school walls, but they can’t influence what happens after hours or at home. That’s where community steps in, and that’s exactly where Educational Justice makes a difference. We fill the gaps schools cannot by providing consistent, high-quality support outside the classroom. Our model of students helping students isn’t just cost-effective, it’s transformative.
What makes Educational Justice so powerful is the ripple effect. Our tutors not only help younger students succeed, but they themselves grow as leaders, mentors, and advocates. It’s a cycle of empowerment that strengthens both sides and uplifts the entire community. When you give today, you’re not just funding tutoring sessions, you’re investing in equity, opportunity, and the future leaders of Louisville.
If you’ve ever asked yourself, “How can I be a part of the solution?” This is the answer. Donate today and be part of the change you want to see. Together, let’s close the gap and invest in our future.
