Watson Family- Help Make Family Stays Possible

It has been nearly a decade since our 120 night stay at Ronald McDonald House Louisville and we still have such a great appreciation for how their mission carried us through a very difficult time.

While staying at Ronald McDonald House Louisville we knew we would have a clean, safe, and comfortable place to rest and work. We knew there would be hot meals, and most of all we knew we could be at Jon’s bedside in minutes while he was fighting for each breath and beat of his heart.

Jon was born at 24 weeks and weighed 1 pound and 7 ounces.

Over the years we have returned to the Ronald McDonald House for follow up appointments, surgeries, scans and various procedures. Jon started calling it “the guest house” when he was about 5 years old. When he is there he feels comfortable in the middle of physical challenges. It is honestly like coming home to family who welcome our complicated life.

Both Jon and his brother enjoy the many indoor and outdoor play spaces at Ronald McDonald House.
