Today I am raising money for Wesley House Community Services, which is on Preston Highway near Male High School. I’ve been on the Board of Directors of Wesley House for over a year, and its mission is near and dear to me – education! Wesley House Community Services, Inc. is one of Louisville's oldest nonprofit neighborhood community centers. Its motto is 'helping people help themselves,' and it has empowered individuals towards self-sufficiency for over 121 years. We support our community from cradle to career, from early childhood through adulthood. There are three main programs – early childhood education, after-school mentoring and tutoring for kids in elementary and middle school, and workforce development for adults. Wesley House even partners with the Salvation Army!
