Leslie's Statement: If you're donating through my page it's because one of two reasons, I sent it to you or someone I know shared it with you. Either reason means you have heard me talking about La Casita in a million different ways or the person who sent it to you has heard me. The reason I talk so much about La Casita is because it is much more than my place of employment but it is a group of people I admire, all doing work that I truly believe in. La Casita has helped me navigate motherhood in a loving and supporting way. To me that speaks volumes because not only is the organization supporting the community but they pour love into us (the employee) so our cup is filled while we fill the cups of our families, it is all connected, because in La Casita's words "WE ARE A CIRCLE!"  Below you can read more about the work we do and the impact it has on the families we serve.

Celebrating 21 Years of Solidarity, Our Roots, and Resilience. 

Since the beginning, La Casita Center has been intentionally working to build a thriving community based on mutual support and respect. Fundraising events like these are essential to us fulfilling our mission to enhance the well-being of Louisville’s community through education, empowerment, advocacy, and wellness. Proceeds from Give for Good will help fund vital programs addressing food insecurity, increasing kindergarten readiness, supporting mental wellness, assisting families affected by gender-based violence, and much more.

• Hospitality - builds the foundation of the holistic approach and spirit of our organization
• Mental Health - provides innovative and culturally relevant mental health support for Latinx youth and families
• Education and Empowerment - through information, access to meaningful education opportunities, and culturally specific approaches
• Legal Support - this program provides access to legal resources, education about your rights, and legal accompaniment
• Health Empowerment - empowers families to advocate for their well-being and health by making health promotion accessible and meaningful to the Latinx community
• Accompaniment and Advocacy - through education, advocacy, and empowerment, this program seeks to create strong communities by having strong families - living free of violence and discrimination.
