Dulcimer Players for Music Education

Students in our Sounds of Kentucky After-School String Band are learning dulcimer alongside guitar and banjo, building musical skills, learning to play with others, and discovering their own place in Kentucky’s musical traditions.

Louisville Folk School provides instruments for every student in the program, so kids can participate regardless of whether their family can afford an instrument of their own.
