🤝 THE WELL INCUBATOR

Great businesses are already being built in Louisville. What entrepreneurs often need is access: access to the right tools, knowledge, relationships, resources, and opportunities to take their businesses to the next level.

The Well Incubator was created to help close that gap.

Founded in 2022 in Louisville’s West End, The Well connects, supports, and grows Black-owned and minority-owned businesses through education, coworking, mentorship, technical support, networking, and business development.

At The Well, entrepreneurs can find more than a place to work. They can find a community that understands what it takes to build something from the ground up and the resources to help turn that vision into a sustainable business.

WHAT WE DO

• Provide accessible coworking space and business resources for entrepreneurs at every stage

• Help early-stage business owners build stronger foundations through Prep School, including business development, certifications, customer connections, and working capital preparation

• Support growth-stage entrepreneurs through The Well Fellowship with deeper business strategy and technology education

• Create opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with experts, potential customers, mentors, and one another through Brunch & Build and community programming

• Connect entrepreneurs with technical and operational support in areas like accounting, marketing, technology, and business operations

WHY THIS MATTERS

Starting a business takes more than a good idea.

Entrepreneurs need access to knowledge, capital, technology, professional networks, mentorship, and spaces where they can build relationships and make things happen. For many Black business owners, those opportunities have not always been equally accessible.

The Well was built with that reality in mind.

Its mission is not simply to help people start businesses. It is to help entrepreneurs build businesses that are sustainable, scalable, and capable of creating opportunities beyond themselves.

Because when a business grows, the impact can grow with it. New jobs are created. Families gain greater economic stability. Communities gain new services and resources. And wealth has the opportunity to move from one generation to the next.

That is the bigger vision behind The Well: creating opportunity for growing Black business owners and strengthening Louisville's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
