Shayla Roberts-Long's C4C fundraiser

I am the co-founder of Clean4Change and the administrative assistant, I've run our events for the past few years. I'm so proud of how we've adapted and changed over the years. 

We have stayed member-led, guided by our most committed volunteers, doing what we can as young people to make the world a better place and reduce waste in all kinds of ways. 

I've been lucky enough to travel to Eastern Kentucky for every one of our mutual aid disaster relief trips, and they have been so filled with connection and hope for the future even while we recover from the past. 

We have worked with other amazing partners to form CAReNet, a coalition of artists and art organizations in Eastern KY (growing statewide) that respond to disasters practically and through art. 

I have been able to travel to Washington, D.C. 3 years in a row with Break Free From Plastic to advocate for plastic reduction legislation, a crucial step in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing the climate crisis. 

We have done so many things I NEVER thought we would do. It feels like just weeks ago (but was really 6 years ago) that I was picking up trash with my best friend, Katelyn, chatting about the possibility of hosting a park cleanup. 

I would really appreciate your support to continue our work and let me continue to work for a better world. I've been amazed at the support we have recieved so far, and I could not be more grateful for the journey that this organization has had. I'm excited for the future!!!
