I am Dr. Marian Vasser and I am an educator, coach, culture and climate practitioner, disruptor, changemaker, bureactivist, connector, restorative practitioner, Mom of three Kings, Christian, and a proud board member of Change Today, Change Tomorrow.
I was originally connected with Change Today, Change Tomorrow (CTCT) approximately six years ago in my role as Assistant Vice President for Inclusive Excellence and Belonging at the University of Louisville. The logical next step upon my retirement was to enhance my connection with CTCT which made saying yes to a board position a no-brainer. It has been an honor and I have had zero regrets. This is hands down the most meaningful board experience I've encountered.
What is my favorite CTCT program and/or effort? Well that is like asking me to tell you which of my three sons is my favorite. Everything about this organization has been a transformative experience not only for me but for the many individuals and families that are blessed by CTCT services. I have been most impressed with the GENUINE commitment to care and humanism each CTCT staff and volunteer demonstrates while serving the community. Whether it is Feed the West, the Vegan cookoff, or the Community Baby Shower, CTCT is transforming lives mentally, physically, economically, and much more.
Donating to Give for Good Louisville is important because it turns individual generosity into collective community impact, particularly for nonprofits such as Change Today, Change Tomorrow. We are a Black woman led non-profit organization in Louisville, KY. Through our main pillars of service, Food Justice, Education, and Public Health, we provide for the most marginalized communities in the city, because when you show up for the most marginalized, you show up for everyone. We do this by going directly to the members of our community, meeting them where they are, and asking them what they need. Then we make that happen. No undermining. No demeaning questioning. No barriers. We protect, defend, and meet the needs of those who have been counted out. We are a force of disruptors and changemakers that believe in community power. Will you stand and be a part of this change with us by donating to us on Give for Good Day?
