Erratic Waves is a love letter to the glorious misspent Saturday afternoons of youth: hanging out with friends, sharing musical discoveries and watching C-grade monster movie marathons on the local UHF channel. It is a celebration of not fitting in and of the community we create with the other misfits, nerds and weirdos who 'get' us. As you can imagine, Erratic Waves has ZERO COMMERCIAL APPEAL.
A show like Erratic Waves can ONLY exist on a station like ART FM where we are free from terms like 'brand appeal', 'marketability' or 'personal hygiene'. ART FM embraces the medium of radio as its own artistic practice and allows us as DJ's to work with a canvas made of air waves.
Donating on Sept. 10th will help ART FM qualify for valuable bonus prizes!!! In addition to experimenting with the airwaves and pushing the limits of our transmission, our community radio station provides music, news, and emergency broadcasting services 24/7/365. LIVE and LOCAL our signal can be enjoyed by listeners around the world on www.artxfm.com and through our free WXOX Apps. Our volunteer-powered station is 100% listener supported. WXOX would be silence without you!
