Celebrating 80 Years of Extraordinary Children's Theatre

$800 goal

StageOne Family Theatre has been changing children’s lives for 80 years. Your gift can help shape the next act.

Today, on Louisville's biggest annual day of giving, please help StageOne continue to inspire and educate children-- and cultivate the confidence, creativity and compassion that leads to happier, more successful lives.

As a member of the StageOne team and a former student and parent at their wonderful Walden Conservatory, I've seen and felt the life-changing impact of theatre education.  Many, many years ago, I walked into Walden Conservatory during some socially difficult teenage years (most likely rocking skull boots and a single dangling earring) and found everything I needed to claim my space on stage and off. Decades later, I enrolled our oldest daughter and watched her develop confidence that led to scholarships... fellowships and a dream career in NYC. (I also watched her perform in Oresteia and El Camino Real. Where else would this happen?)

Over the last eight decades, StageOne has helped more than 4 million children find their voice and claim their spotlight. Today, we reach over 40,000 children annually through in-school programming, field trips to mainstage performances at The Kentucky Center, and classes and camps at our Payne Street campus—many at no cost to their families. These experiences matter more than ever in an era of declining arts funding, increased screen time, and virtual learning.

Please take a moment to support an organization that has been life-changing for myself, my daughter and millions of other theatre kids.

Every dollar helps keep the lights on and the ovations roaring.
