Hello everyone! Welcome to my 2026 ORW Challenge fundraising page. I’m so grateful you’re here and considering supporting Ohio River Way and its mission “to help people find adventure, inspire care for the land and water, and boost economies of vibrant Ohio River communities by building partnerships that promote safe, healthy outdoor recreation; education; and tourism.
From May 10–June 1, I’ll be embarking on one of the biggest expeditions of my life... paddling the Ohio River as part of the ORW Challenge while raising funds to help Ohio River Way continue expanding its impact throughout the river and the entire basin. ORW has already accomplished so much, and I truly believe its potential is HUGE. By reshaping the narrative of the Ohio River and making it safer, more accessible, and enjoyable, ORW creates meaningful opportunities for people of all backgrounds to connect with and utilize this incredible resource.
What we do locally along the river truly matters. The actions we take here flow downstream, literally and figuratively, impacting ecosystems, communities, and public health far beyond our immediate surroundings. Supporting this work means investing in a healthier river, stronger communities, and a future where people feel inspired to care for the places they love.

The Ohio River Way is a designated, 308-mile National Water Trail following the borders of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Along the way, we’ve become a coalition that bridges communities to create a more vibrant, healthy region.
The Ohio River Way’s mission is to help people find adventure, inspire care for the land and water, and boost economies of vibrant Ohio River communities by building partnerships that promote safe, healthy outdoor recreation; education; & tourism.
The Ohio River Way Challenge is an interdisciplinary expedition designed to educate, connect, and celebrate the history, culture, and ecology of the Ohio River and its river towns. Through paddling, storytelling, community engagement, and shared adventure, participants embark on a journey to be inspired and expand upon the important work being done to improve the Ohio River and its neighboring communities.
