What We Know:
More than 67% of fourth-graders in the state of Kentucky are not reading at grade level. With Structured Literacy, over 95% of people can learn to read, regardless of language-based learning differences.
Our Approach:
Our Literacy Mentors are trained in Structured Literacy and paired 1-on-1 with Decoders to teach them to read. Our lessons are engaging and multisensory, catering to each Decoder's individual needs. We operate on a sliding scale, ensuring programming is accessible and affordable for all.
Outcomes:
In addition to increased literacy skills, our Decoders experience increased confidence and self-esteem!
Community Engagement:
Decode Project hosts monthly Caregiver Workshops to provide caregivers and other community members with accessible structured literacy resources! We are constantly expanding our reach to accommodate more families, and greatly appreciate your support!
