Alliance Française de Louisville

The Alliance Francaise de Louisville is an international organization dedicated to providing programs and services that engage our community in the language and cultures of French speaking peoples.

Founded in Paris in 1883, the Alliance Française currently includes more than 800 chapters in 130 countries, with over half a million students worldwide. Founded in 1914, the Alliance Française of Louisville preserves the French heritage that gave our city its name. Louis was French!

Evelyn Cohn founded the school of the Alliance in 1987. For more than 30 years, AFL has offered French classes for all ages.
