No one should have to choose between food, shelter, and period products — but for thousands across Kentuckiana, that's the monthly reality. At For Lady's Sake, we believe menstrual health is a human right. We're a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit working to end period poverty through three pillars: Access, Education, and Legislation.

💥 WHAT WE DID IN 2025

• Distributed over 60,000 period products across the Louisville Metro area
• Reached approximately 3,000 girls and women with free products
• Raised over $38,000 in mission support through donations, grants, and fundraising
• Grew our partner network to 34+ organizations across Kentuckiana — shelters, recovery centers, schools, and healthcare providers
• Collected over 25,000 products through our Period Poverty Awareness Week and holiday community drives
• Packed 2,000+ period kits alongside 20+ volunteers at community packing parties
• Launched our first Period Pod at Neighborhood House in Portland, painted by young artists from Lead Like A Queen
• Raised over $10,000 at our annual Dining for Dignity fundraiser breakfast
• Mailed 20+ handwritten letters to legislators in support of menstrual equity bills

🚨 WHY THIS MATTERS

Period poverty isn't just about hygiene — it's about dignity, confidence, and opportunity. Menstrual products aren't covered by SNAP or WIC, and most shelters can't reliably stock them. Going without means missed work, missed school, and lasting stigma. Our work makes sure no one is left behind because of a natural biological need.

• $25 = approximately 100 period products for a community partner
• $50 = a full restock of a Period Pod shelf
• $100 = one month of products for an entire Period Pod location
• $250 = one month of the indoor period pantry at Shelby Park Community Center

• $1,500 = sustains one Period Pod for a full year
