We're raising funds to support period equity in our community — because everyone deserves dignity, no matter the time of the month.

I'm Reina Kempt, Executive Director of For Lady's Sake. This isn't a cause I picked up along the way — it's the work my wife Candice built from a single encounter with an unhoused woman who needed period products and had nowhere to turn. I've watched that one moment grow into a movement, and I show up for it every single day because I've seen exactly what it changes.

In 2025 alone, For Lady's Sake distributed more than 60,000 period products, reached approximately 3,000 girls and women, and grew to 34+ community partners across Kentuckiana — shelters, recovery centers, schools, and healthcare facilities. We launched our first Period Pod, a 24/7 outdoor pantry offering free, no-questions-asked access to period products, and we're not stopping there.

Period poverty affects school attendance, job security, and mental health. It's not a hygiene issue — it's a dignity issue. Your gift makes sure no one I meet has to choose between a period product and a meal.

💥 Here's what your gift can do:

  • $25 restocks a Period Pod shelf
  • $100 assembles 10 kits for a local shelter or recovery center
  • $250 supports a full month of our community-based education programming
  • $500+ helps launch a brand-new Period Pod in an underserved neighborhood

💡 My goal: $500

Every dollar gets us closer to a Kentuckiana where periods don't cause shame, stress, or stigma. If you've ever heard me talk about this work — at an event, at Dining for Dignity, anywhere — you know I mean every word of that.

If you can't give, sharing this page still matters. Thank you for standing with me on this.
