Established in 1884, the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is our state's largest pet adoption agency and spay/neuter provider. Your donations help us provide food, medical care and love to thousands of needy dogs, cats and horses - and then we find them wonderful adopters.

Not only are we here for needy animals, we're also here for the families who love them. Thanks to your support, each year we provide:

• More than 5,500 cat, dog and horse adoptions to excited families
• 10,000 low-cost spay/neuter surgeries at our S.N.I.P. Clinic, helping reduce pet overpopulation
• Counseling and support to over 7,000 stressed pet guardians through our Pet Retention Services
• Free supplemental pet food through our Pet Food Bank to help pet guardians struggling with financial insecurity
• Low-cost spay/neuter and basic veterinary care for families without access to affordable care through our CARE-a-van mobile veterinary clinic
• Fun, effective and positive dog training classes
• Volunteer opportunities for over 1,000 people each year
