The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is a champion for companion animals and the people who love them. Through leadership, education and proactive solutions, they are creating more compassionate communities.

As Kentucky's largest animal adoption agency, KHS is Louisville's favorite place to adopt a pet! Your donations help them provide food, medical care and love to thousands of needy dogs, cats and horses - and then find them wonderful adopters.

Not only is KHS here for needy animals, they're also here for the families who love them. Thanks to your support, each year they can provide:

• More than 5,500 cat, dog and horse adoptions to excited families
• 10,000 low-cost spay/neuter surgeries at our S.N.I.P. Clinic, helping reduce pet overpopulation
• Counseling and support to over 7,000 stressed pet guardians through our Pet Retention Services
• Free supplemental pet food through our Pet Food Bank to help pet guardians struggling with financial insecurity
• Low-cost spay/neuter and basic veterinary care for families without access to affordable care through our CARE-a-van mobile veterinary clinic
• Fun, effective and positive dog training classes
• Volunteer opportunities for over 1,000 people each year
