The Louisville Rowing Club (LRC) is a volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the joy and sport of rowing for people of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. Nestled on the scenic banks of the Ohio River, LRC has been fostering a love for rowing since its founding.  

What makes LRC special?

  • Inclusive Programs: From adult masters rowers, to competitive juniors, to introductory Learn-To-Row classes, the club offers something for everyone.

Whether powering through morning practices, or cheering from the shore at regattas, the Louisville Rowing community is united by passion, purpose, and pride.


Every Seat Matters!  Every Stroke Counts!  Every Gift Moves Us Forward!

With increased community outreach in 2025, LRC saw its largest participation ever in our introductory Learn-To-Row classes with over 40 people taking part and there is still a waitlist! We'd like to get even more people out on the water in 2026 but we need your help! 

Rowing is a gear-heavy sport. Did you know the average age of our boats is over 37 years old? Your support at any level would help us purchase a new-to-us boat and help us maintain oars and safety equipment—ensuring every rower has access to safe, row-ready tools.

How Your Gift Helps Us Grow

$45 will cover life jackets for 4 rowers

$100 will cover the replacement of a pair of rowing shoes

$600 will provide one scholarship for Learn-To-Row

$1000 will rebuild one section of the aging community dock

$2,000 will purchase a new-to-us set of oars

$8,000 will purchase a new-to-us boat
