Support A Fund, Inc.

In 1973 I was 21 and a senior in college. I had a Dalkon Shield IUD for a couple of years but then started spotting. I was pregnant. A friend took me to D.C. to get an abortion. I was so grateful. I could pursue my dreams to become a certified physician assistant. 

Abortion pills were approved in 2000 and now are used in over 60% of abortions under 12 weeks instead of a surgical procedure. The pills only cost $4 and mailing them to someone costs $12. So instead of a $500 - $1000 clinic expense even if you just get pills, plus missing work, travel, hotel and childcare,  A Fund, Inc. donates to The MAP in Massachusetts which costs an average of $35. We also pay for those who choose to travel to clinics and we contribute to solidarity pledges for expensive 2nd trimester surgical procedures. 

I am passionate about reproductive freedom and A Fund, Inc., which is an all volunteer non-profit. We try very hard to make every donation go towards helping those women who need financial help with the cost of an abortion.
