Amelia started at The dePaul School in third grade struggling to read and still not knowing all of her letters. In just two years, dePaul helped her gain approximately six years of academic growth and, even more importantly, gave her confidence in herself as a learner.
Today, Amelia is thriving. She knows firsthand what it feels like to struggle in a traditional school setting and what can happen when a child is finally given the instruction and support they need.
This year, Amelia wants to give back to the school that changed her life. She is fundraising for The dePaul School so that more children with learning differences can have the same opportunity she had—to discover that they can learn, succeed, and feel proud of what they accomplish.
