Give for Good Louisville is this Thursday, September 10, and I hope you'll consider supporting Scarlett and Violet's school, Louisville Classical Academy. Every gift made to LCA is being matched dollar for dollar by the school's board, up to $7,000 - so your gift counts twice! 

On Thursday evening, the Greatest Two Minutes in Giving runs from 7:15 to 7:17 p.m. Every gift placed in those two minutes is an entry in six prize drawings of $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000. Fill out the form a few minutes early so your gift lands inside the window.

LCA has become such a special part of our family. We love the small class sizes, screen-free environment, strong academics, and wonderful teachers who truly know and encourage our girls.

With the support and influence of her teachers, Scarlett's natural curiosity has absolutely flourished. She has become a complete bookworm and spends so much of her free time reading. She even comes home and asks me for science worksheets because she wants to explore science, space, the planets, and the universe even further. Watching her actively seek out more simply because she is fascinated by the world around her has been incredible.

Violet is our creative, expressive, imaginative one, and LCA gives her room to be exactly that. She loves the art, music, literature, and creativity woven into her education, and most importantly, she genuinely loves going to school. Our girls are very different, yet LCA has given both of them a place where they are happy, challenged, encouraged, and known.

LCA currently rents space from two churches and operates across two campuses. Next year, Scarlett and Violet will actually attend separate campuses. We would love to see this wonderful school continue growing toward a permanent home where its community can be together and limited space doesn't limit its future.

Even a $10 gift makes a difference! Participation also helps the girls' classes compete for an ice cream party - and if LCA reaches its overall goal, Head of School Mr. Markowitz gets a pie to the face, thrown by the student whose fundraising page brings in the most gifts. Needless to say, the girls would be delighted to see that happen. 😂

Any amount helps, and it would mean so much to our family. Supporting LCA means supporting the incredible teachers and community who are helping Scarlett and Violet grow into curious, confident, creative young people - and helping a school we love continue to grow right alongside them.
