If you know one thing about me, you know my unrelenting love for my community in Louisville. Today is our city's biggest day of giving, and I am asking for your help to get Louisville Grows to their fundraising goal. Your donation will help increase and sustain greener, healthier environments for our city.
I've been a board member of Louisville Grows for over two years now, and I've been fortunate to have a seat at the table in helping the organization reduce urban heat islands by planting trees in historically underinvested neighborhoods, hosting seeds and starts sales to encourage growing healthy food, providing assistance and resources to new and existing community gardens, and so much more. We have big dreams and goals over the next few years, and we'll need your help to get there. Please consider donating today...every little bit helps!
Fast Facts about Louisville Grows' Impact:
- In the past 15 years, Louisville Grows has planted 7,717 trees across the city in an effort to reduce the effects of urban heat islands.
- Louisville Grows is the only nonprofit in the city working directly with residents to plant trees in their yards with priority to neighborhoods with the lowest tree canopies.
- Louisville Grows has been able to fund, support, and assist 5 different community gardens in 2024 through our community garden grant program.
