According to the World Bank, education is one of the strongest drivers for reducing poverty and improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability. That is why I support Lincoln Foundation. The signature Whitney M. Young Scholars Program supports students from underserved communities who demonstrate above-average academic performance. 

The benefits of the program are not only to individual Scholar with educational clinics and summer programs but also their families via the monthly parental clinics.

Lincoln Foundation scholars go on to excel in college with support from the College Transition Enrichment Program. Scholars outperform students from similar populations in state and national retention as well as persistence rates.

In my role as a Lincoln Foundation trustee, I have had the opportunity to meet many amazing scholars. Among these is Adriana, pictured above as well as at a reception at our house below. We are so excited to see where the future will take this fabulous young lady as she pursues a degree in medicine.
