Cassidy's Fundraiser Today for KCA!

As a camp counselor for some of Kentucky's strongest kids for 12 years, and now the Board President - Kids Cancer Alliance holds a special place in my heart. 

Being a camp counselor for a week every summer reminds me that these kids have it all figured out. When we grow up, we make it all more complicated. They are fighting the toughest battle anyone would go through all while they're learning about photosynthesis, making new friends, learning to swim and building legos. If you've ever seen a kid fight cancer, it will change your life forever. 

Being a camp counselor for a week every summer also reminds me of the absolute best in people. Each year over a hundred volunteers take PTO, find childcare, get pet sitters, and some try out something new for a whole week with strangers just to give these kids the best week of their lives. 

As a a board member and long-time volunteer, I know that's just scratching the surface. The need for support for families battling childhood cancer is big. Kids Cancer Alliance provides financial assistance, survivor and sibling scholarships, camp-in, in-hospital programs, two weeks of summer camp, teen weekender retreats, family retreats and more. 

We have big plans to meet the real needs of families battling cancer right now. Until cancer is cured, we're their alliance. Will you join us?
