Even for a small company like The Chamber Theatre, the costs of simply running the organization can be a burden. All the small little matters add up quickly. An annual filing fee, printing scripts, paying for pencils, performance insurance - these things quickly add up. Then throw in all the costs of maintaining a website, a domain name, etc. Suddenly the season that just broke even is undermined by a hefty cost for simply running a company.
Costs fluctuate, so this is just an estimate based on 2025. If we can raise this much for 2026, it will take pressure off when we try to do our real work of creating theatre.
Printing (on average) 15 scripts per show ($70) for three productions - $210
Folders for 15 scripts per show ($50) for three productions - $150
Pencils ($5) for cast for three productions - $15
Insurance for per show ($125) 3 productions - $375
Annual Filing with Kentucky SOS - $15
Annual Web domain & Hosting - $250
Total - $1,015
Given the current unpredictability of inflation at the moment, we are aiming to raise $1,250 to manage these costs and more besides, and allow our artists to focus on their real work - creating compelling and daring theatre. Can you help ease this burden?
