As someone who’s spent my life protecting land in Kentucky, I know how rare and precious large, intact forests are. Bernheim is more than trails and trees — it’s 17,000+ acres of protected forest that safeguards clean air and water, preserves habitat for countless species, and maintains critical corridors for wildlife in a rapidly developing landscape.

For me, supporting Bernheim means protecting biodiversity, holding land in trust for the future, and ensuring that this extraordinary forest continues to thrive as a living sanctuary for people and wildlife alike.
