The Capuano Family

Give for Good Louisville day is TODAY, Sept 10, and Luca hopes you'll consider supporting his school, Louisville Classical Academy.

Small class sizes, no screens, and a real love of reading are some of the reasons we love LCA. This year, Luca is loving Shakespeare's Julius Caesar and translating Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 into Latin! In after school programs, he's gotten back into fencing, participating in the music leadership club, and applying his creative skills as a Dungeon Master and player.

Gifts to LCA through Give for Good go to the school's operating fund, which pays for everything below. These are real costs from this year's budget, so you can see what a gift of any size does for a student.

   * $5 covers a beginning reader that a first grader takes home and keeps.

   * $35 covers one student's field trips for the whole year. LCA pays every trip cost, and families are never billed.

   * $100 covers the supplies for the 8th grade's fall chemistry experiments.

   * $500 covers the whole-school Thanksgiving feast.

Every gift of $5 or more counts as a donation to LCA on Give for Good Louisville, whatever its size. Any amount helps and it would mean a lot to our family!
